TARGET OPERATING MODEL


The target operating model converts your strategy ideas into operational plans. It includes an analysis the as-is operational situation along with the design and structure of the desired (to-be) state. A target operating model may be developed for a whole business or only a function like IT.

Coordination of service design activities, processes and resources. Consistent and effective design of new or changed IT services, service management information systems, architectures, technology, processes, information or metrics.

Produce and maintain accurate information on all operational services and those being prepared to be run operationally: Service details, current status and the services' interdependencies.

OPERATIONS MANUAL


The creation of an information repository of all of processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and schematics (diagrams) in use within an IT operation. All operational tasks are listed. The operations manual is a key element in managing an outsource model and in assuring a workable DR Plan.
